School's out for summer!!

Well school is finally out this year and with it comes great joy and excitement. Jon and I have both received a job at a company called A New Leaf, it is a company that works with the developmentally disabled. We have both been given the title of transfer employees. We will work with children going from DT services to IBI services and are both looking forward to it. With school out and our schedules being remotely the same for the first time since we've been married we hope to have a summer full of fun. Including being much better at taking pictures so that you can keep an eye on the many wonderful changes happening. :)

The Latest and Greatest

So the latest news is that we are doing well. We have had better times, Jon has been laid off from work, but really we can't get discouraged we know the next job will be bigger and better for us. On the other hand, an amazing number of opportunities have opened up for me at work. I can hardly believe how wonderful this job has been for me and how many great things I have learned from the wonderful staff and administration. We are going to Utah this weekend to visit Grandma and Grandpa Kussee for the first time since they got off their mission. Jon and I are very excited because this will be the first time Jon is able to spend an extended amount of time with them, I'm sure it will go great.

Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year

UPDATE: Jonathan's birthday was December 12th. It all went very well and we had lots of fun. I made a cookie monster cake because a story is told that at two years old Jon's mom made him a cookie monster cake, when they lit his candles he freaked out and started crying, "Don't burn cookie monster!" They had to take him out of the room and blow out the candles. They couldn't eat the cake because he didn't want to eat cookie monster. So as a very funny joke I made him a cookie monster cake again. It turned out really well and we really enjoyed each others company while we celebrated and ate cookie monster. And he did let us light the candles and he did blow them out all by himself.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out on the 23rd. All went well, the recovery was quick and almost enjoyable because I was able to spend time with family. It was however much much more painful than I would have ever imagined and I did loose some weight because I was put on a soft food diet for about two weeks which really limits the food you can eat!

We had a wonderful First Christmas together. We enjoyed the gifts that we received and enjoyed even more the reactions from the gifts that we gave. Santa visited us both :) We both are so grateful for the opportunity that we have to be part of a bigger family and all of the fun that it entails.

Our New Year was a wonderful one. We both of course made our goals for this year. My biggest one is to be a better house wife. Make the dinner, keep the house clean, and do the laundry. While keeping up on my work and myself.

We are excited for this New Year and are really excited about celebrating a year together next month!

Just an update

So basketball season is over thankfully, but with the end of the season came a car accident. I rear ended someone on the way home but thankfully everyone walked away virtually uninjured. I am just writing this in the hope that everyone that reads it will help Jon and I keep a clear intention that the car that is perfect for us that we need to buy will show up in a timely and perfect way. Other than that. Everything is going great. Jon's birthday was yesterday and as a result I made him a cake(Pictures and explanation are to come).

Basketball?

So I have officially gone crazy. I have recently been given the opportunity to coach a basketball team at the school I work at. I really don't know why I accepted considering it is probably the one sport I have played that I really don't enjoy of like any more. Oh well its fun. Jon is doing well at his job, his newest "promotion" has brought on greater responsibility and pressure but he seems to be handling it well. He's not to excited about the fact that it's getting too cold to ride his motorcycle everywhere he goes but he hasn't verbally complained too much. We are still in process of unpacking our stuff into the house. Obviously it's stuff that doesn't really matter that we have gone this long without it but it will still be nice to be fully unpacked and the house cleaned and in order. Some day I'm sure it will happen. :)

Yes! I posted again!

So it's been awhile since I last posted and after an inspiring talk with Brenna I decided it was time to update. On Wednesday I officially substituted for the first time. It was in the fourth grade class that I help in . It was OK, not absolutely horrible, of course I was still the sub in the end so the kids followed suit of education forever and pushed every button they know that they could. I still plan on teaching so it didn't ruin everything forever. And on another note. Jon got yet another promotion. He is going from what they call "AM 2" (Assistant Manager 2) to the Assistant Manager in the store. I am so proud of him and everything that he is accomplishing. Well I think that is a long enough post for now. I will get better about posting more often. You just watch. :)

So We Have It

So we got it.... Jon officially has a baby and it's a Motorcycle. I never would have thought that my first child as a married couple would feed on Gasoline and Look nothing like me but I guess we should all count our blessings. :)
